Casey Patrick is a writer, editor, and teaching artist. Her poems have been published in The Massachusetts Review, RHINO, Green Mountains Review, The Pinch, Pleiades, Passages North, The Adroit Journal, and other journals. Her work has also been featured in the Red Wing Arts gallery as part of the 2022 Poet & Artist Collaboration, and on public transit in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
She has been awarded a James Merrill Fellowship from Vermont Studio Center, a Writers House Residency from Hub City Writers Project, and a 2020 Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. She graduated from the MFA program at Eastern Washington University in 2013 and is working on her first collection, an examination of female rage and desire. Since 2015, Casey has taught creative writing classes in a variety of settings, and she regularly teaches in-person and online classes with The Loft Literary Center. In addition to teaching and writing, Casey is a freelance copywriter and proofreader, and a former bookseller at a local independent bookstore.
