Casey Patrick is a writer, editor, and teaching artist. Her poems appear in Best New Poets 2024, The Massachusetts Review, RHINO, Green Mountains Review, The Pinch, Pleiades, Passages North, The Adroit Journal, and other journals. In addition, her poems have been featured in the Red Wing Arts Depot Gallery as part of the 2022 and 2024 Poet Artist Collaboration, and on public transit in Minneapolis-St. Paul as part of the IMPRESSIONS Poetry Project. She’s also collaborated with Streetcorner Letterpress to produce a limited edition broadside (available for purchase).
Her awards include a James Merrill Fellowship from Vermont Studio Center, a Writers House Residency from Hub City Writers Project, and a 2020 Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. She’s been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Maggie Smith selected her poem as runner-up to the Pinch Literary Awards. She graduated from the MFA program at Eastern Washington University in 2013 and is working on her first collection. In the meantime, you can check out her recent publications.
Since 2015, Casey has taught creative writing classes in a variety of settings, including with The Loft Literary Center. In addition to teaching and writing, Casey is a freelance copywriter and proofreader, and a former independent bookseller. She lives in Minneapolis.
